Job Description Summary
A key element of this role within the GT PDE team is to broaden participation within the team and further the development of the GT PDE Manufacturing Apprentice Program (MAP) curriculum. Regular work activities will require serving as the GT PDE focal point for the Manufacturing Apprentice Candidates in all aspects of the MAP rotation. Additionally, this role will provide incremental support for the product definition needs for the Design Liaison Engineering (DLE) and AMRT Outage Tooling teams. This position will also support the GT PDE organization on NPI /NTI program PDE fulfilment activities as workload allows.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Create parametric 3D models and drawings to communicate Gas Turbine component design intent and adhere to GE Product Definition standards of work using NX CAD software.
- Produce 2D drawings and 3D model based definition to GE Product Definition standard work requirements, which includes the application of dimensioning techniques while considering manufacturability and design intent.
- Demonstrate expertise in maneuvering and mentoring others through part/model/product definition in GTCC/PLM regarding the part release, and part revision processes.
- Understand, apply, and interpret geometric form control to ASME Y14.5M standards …ASME GD&T certification and demonstrate regular use.
- Serve as the Gas Turbine Product Definition Engineering focal point for Manufacturing apprentice candidates in all aspects of the MAP - GT PDE rotation program.
- Lead / enhance / broaden participation within the team and further the development/evolution of the GT PDE Manufacturing Apprentice Program (MAP) curriculum.
- Establish year over year funding demand for the Manufacturing Apprentice Program and other Manufacturing needs requiring product definition support.
- Develop an awareness within GT PDE for the manufacturing / Quality teams efforts and identify opportunities where GT PDE efforts can be utilized to support quality improvements and delivery fulfillment for the Greenville factory.
- Provide modeling and drawing designs for tasks related to the Design Liaison Engineering (DLE) and AMRT Outage Tooling teams.
- Drive standardization for Turbine component feature/model and tolerance standardization. Explore further possibilities to carry these through to CNC and CMM programming and optimize the consumption of model-based definition for HGP / GT PDE components.
- Strive for improvement in product definition by collaborating and applying ideas such as Lean principles to design and process within the GT PDE team - Support and document common features/modeling to improve consistency and modeling speed of components.
- Work closely with leadership in Greenville/ Queretaro and Warsaw to establish and balance resource utilization in support of Manufacturing / Advanced Manufacturing & Repair Technology and DLE needs as required.
- Work within the guidelines of applicable GE Policies & Procedures, Engineering Standards, Specifications, Government and Commercial Standards, and security classification or intellectual property / export controlled (IP/EC) requirements.
- Demonstrated capabilities in organization of team communication/ reporting on program deliverables and weekly status.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Computer Science (STEM) or Associates degree in MET, Engineering Graphics, Drafting Technology or 10 years product definition experience in the design of Gas Turbine mechanical components and systems.

About Us
For U.S. based candidates only, for purposes of complying with U.S. pay transparency requirements, the base pay range for this position is $98,400-$164,000 USD Annual.,
The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for a Variable Incentive (VIC) bonus of 10%.
*The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
