About This Role:

As a Sr. Blockchain Engineer, you will play a critical role in building and maintaining the core infrastructure that powers our blockchain-based products. You will provide technical leadership, designing, developing, and optimizing scalable backend systems, while also driving innovation in our blockchain initiatives. Your experience in backend and blockchain technologies will enable you to make significant contributions to our platform’s architecture, ensuring security, performance, and scalability. You will lead complex projects, influence technical decisions, and help shape the future of our blockchain ecosystem.

Core Responsibilities:  

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and secure backend services with a focus on blockchain integration and decentralized technologies.


• Lead the architecture and design of blockchain components, ensuring system reliability and performance.


• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including frontend, mobile, and big data teams, to integrate blockchain solutions into our platform.


• Optimize backend systems for performance, scalability, and fault tolerance, with a focus on handling large-scale transaction throughput.


• Develop and maintain smart contracts, ensuring security, auditability, and efficiency.


• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to blockchain systems and backend services in production.


• Conduct code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and uphold best practices in coding, architecture, and security.


• Stay up to date with the latest advancements in blockchain technology, decentralized finance (DeFi), and the broader crypto ecosystem.


• Proactively drive continuous improvements in backend infrastructure, contributing to the overall roadmap and technical strategy.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.


• 6+ years of relevant experience, with particular focus on backend or blockchain development experience, with a strong foundation in Java for building scalable, high-performance systems, and knowledge of Golang is a plus.


• Extensive experience with blockchain technologies (such as Ethereum, Bitcoin, or others) and good understanding of smart contracts. Experience with custodial crypto wallet development is a plus.


• Deep understanding of microservices architecture, including hands-on experience with frameworks like Spring Boot, Mybatis.


• Strong experience with database technologies (both SQL and NoSQL) and familiarity with distributed storage solutions and caching technologies (e.g., Redis, MongoDB, or similar).


• Proven track record of designing and optimizing backend services for performance, scalability, and fault tolerance.


• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS or other major platforms).


• Strong problem-solving skills and experience in troubleshooting complex issues in production environments.


• Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work across teams and influence key stakeholders.


• Familiarity with blockchain development languages and tools (Solidity, Hardhat, etc.) and web3 frameworks (Viem, Ethers.js, or Web3.js). Experience with cryptographic algorithms, consensus mechanisms, and decentralized networks is a significant plus.

Salary: 

The starting pay range for this role is between USD$185,000 - USD$210,000 per year for all U.S. remote locations. The actual base pay will vary, and is dependent upon many factors, such as transferable skill sets, work experience, business needs, and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change.
