In Appen, Senior Analyst or Principal Analyst are responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of data within the organization's databases. DPA’s would be responsible for handling that tasks related to various posts/web pages/images following the provided client guidelines. Data Processing Associates also assist in improving data quality and collaborate with team members to ensure efficient data processing.

Responsibilities
- Annotation of all types of data:
- Annotate various data types including images, videos, and audio clips. Use tools for pixel annotation, bounding boxes, polygons, and other forms. Categorize objects, add metadata, and perform open text annotation. Also, annotate frames in videos and perform tagging or timestamping.
- Provide judgement on image, video and audio tasks:
- Judge image, video, and audio tasks by transcribing human speech, identifying non-human sound events, and segmenting audio/video based on instructions. Provide judgments on components of audio, video, or images following guidelines, and rate data.
- Transcription
- Responsible for accurately transcribing speech and other sounds from audio files. Duties include text transcription, grading, research, and root cause analysis. Also involves creating transcription summaries, tagging, and timestamping based on project guidelines.
- Quality Checking of data
- Quality check data by reviewing and completing annotation phases. Also, review and correct pre-annotated content, including images, videos, and audio
- Handle all data processing for collection and manage special data collection projects.
- Perform call outs, research, and data processing related to voice tasks.
- Adhere to ISO standards, PEZA, DPA, and other global data security requirements for Appen.
- Provide summary reports of completed tasks.
Requirements
- Graduate /bachelor’s degree.
- 2- 6+ yrs of work experience into annotation, content curation/ content moderation/analysis/review.
- High proficiency in verbal/ written English.
- Ensure achievement of SLA targets.
- Exceptional analytical thought process, including attention to detail and producing quality results.
- Review text/images and search website as per the client guidelines.
- He/she must ensure that the text/posts or images that goes online is non-family safe/offensive/ violates any copyrights law.
- Analysts must check the quality of the posts.
- Proficiency in data processing software and tools.
- Strong Problem-solving skills and excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
